You know how in Zelda games you can sneak around an enemy when they're sleeping unless they wake up, or can avoid them running at you if you stay far enough away/out of sight?
This is sort of what that graph is drafting out right now. I'm using 25 meters as a test dummy since I'm currently testing it out with a cube, and the cube is small, and I don't want to make it any bigger than default size for various reasons.
This one focuses mainly on movement and while it focuses on enemies can also apply for prey animals [I guess?]. You can sneak all the way up to them if you're careful, walk relatively close before they hear you, and can be noticed rather easily if you just blow right over to them in a mad dash or carelessly skip about the area.
If I had more space/time/patience I would have put in howling and barking as a factor that can be noticed, but I don't see a point in making enemies run towards you if they hear you howl from a safe distance away or have prey run when they hear you either. I'm not making an animalistic version of DayZ or anything, so why worry? LOL
dA needs a GameMechanic category in game concepts 8B
I'm practicing some code I found in a tutorial for a game engine. If they stop giving me errors that terms are outdated I plan on making a demo to see what I can do with it.
Youre amazing did you know that? I could never finish a game project. or even make a good 3d model! I guess i'm more cut out on those 2D animal rpg games
It'd be too much programming for me to handle right now.
Be kickass if an animalistic DayZ existed though. There'd be no annoying zombies you could escape by running into buildings, you'd just have to be wary of punkass bandit players. XDDDD
But really, this is cool and very nicely done. It's wonderful to see a game mechanic like this brought into visual form.
DAMN!

But naw, seriously~
Would be cool, yeah.
